Voices of Olympus

6 June 2026, Sat. 18:00 - 20:00
Dnipro Academic Drama and Comedy Theater Dnipro, 97, Yavornitsky avenue

"Voices of Olympus" is a comedy for those who are a little tired of "safe" plots and predictable jokes. Here, the live broadcast goes awry, the truth becomes compromising evidence, and every word can start a chain of chaos. Yes, it sounds like a typical work chat on Friday. But with microphones and black humor.

The new play was created by the authors of "Involuntary Midwives." So there will be a lot of absurdity, inconvenient truth, sharp satire, and moments when it's funny right down to the second, until it becomes very vital.

What is the play "Voices of Olympus" about?

On the eve of the elections, the team of the radio station "Olymp" is urgently called on the air. But instead of the usual news and music, they are ordered to covertly campaign for a political party on the "day of silence."

A refusal can cost a career. A mistake can cost a public scandal. And when a representative of the supervisory board appears in the studio, controlling every word, the broadcast turns into a real nerve-wracking attraction.

While the microphones are on, the characters joke, save themselves, frame each other, and hide their own fears. And the longer the evening goes on, the less the lines between comedy, chaos, and all-too-familiar reality become.

Why you should add it to your plans

"Voices of Olympus" is a mix of satire, dark humor, romance, music, and human candor. A good option to switch from routine and spend an evening not "on autopilot."

There will be laughter every second, but without stupid jokes for the sake of jokes. The play works through recognizable situations: compromises, fear of saying too much, fatigue from the roles you have to play every day.

In the mood when you want to go out into the world, take a breath and watch a comedy, after which you discuss your favorite characters on the way home.

Cast

The play will feature:

  • Anastasia Tsimbalaru;
  • Alexander Popov;
  • Vitalina Bibliv;
  • Sergey Kalantay;
  • Lubava Greshnova;
  • Yaroslav Shakhtorin;
  • Pavel Nakonechny.

Each character has their own temperament, their own secrets, and their own way of “surviving” on the air. It is because of this diversity that the story does not turn into a set of sketches, but keeps the attention until the finale.
