On the Shelter Stage, soloists of the Kyiv Opera will present a program of Ukrainian romances, named after the first line of a poem by Volodymyr Sosyura. This is a concert where music, literature, and the voices of the artists combine into one coherent story.

The program will feature works by Ukrainian composers set to poetry by Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka, Oleksandr Oles, Dmytro Pavlychko, Borys Oliynyk, Dmytro Lutsenko, and other authors. The concert will be complemented by Ukrainian folk songs and poetry readings, which are naturally woven into the musical program.
