Dnepropetrovsk Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after T.G. Shevchenko Dnipro, st. Voskresenskaya, 5

Your chance to witness one of the most high-profile theatrical events of recent years, which is finally going beyond the capital's stage. "Caligula" directed by Ivan Uryvsky is an ideal opportunity for you to change the picture of everyday life, turn off your gadgets and immerse yourself in a world of deep meanings and visual perfection.

"Caligula" by the Frank Theater in Dnipro: a challenge to fate and the nature of power

We invite you to a performance based on the classic by Albert Camus, which poses uncomfortable but extremely important questions to the viewer. To what extent is a person capable of reaching in fear for his own life? What is true freedom and what is its price? This is a story about whether tyranny is born from one person or is it the result of the silent connivance of those around him. Caligula challenges logic and the gods themselves, striving to surpass them in his capabilities, having unlimited power to do so.

However, in a world where absurdity reigns, the difference between despotic power and a slave position becomes barely noticeable. Ivan Uryvsky's production masterfully exposes these truths, turning each scene into a tense philosophical dialogue with the audience. This is an opportunity for you to get out of the information noise and live a strong emotional experience that will make you think long after the final applause.
