Тигролови
Once upon a time, a legend about luck and brave tiger hunters appeared in the world. How exactly - no one remembers for sure. However, it is preserved and retold by a bizarre girl in a mask of the Japanese Noh theater.
Why she fell in love with a legend with a Ukrainian soul is a big mystery. All that is known is that the girl appears out of nowhere, begins the story with music - and tries not to miss a single detail of the story about engineer Hryhoriy Mnohogrishny. True, the mask prevents her from pronouncing his last name clearly. And she is always embarrassed when she gets to the story about Natalka - wild and unbridled, like nature itself. It seems that this part of the story reminds her of something very personal.
Anyone who comes to listen to a stranger's story may not immediately recognize "Tiger Hunters." Because Onrio conveys many things not in words. This is how she feels: taiga, desires, escape, love, and freedom sound through voices and strings. Authentic folk singing is intertwined here with music, and Japan with the Ukrainian taiga of Ivan Bahryany.
And if there are any Noh theater experts among you, don't rush to reveal the mask of our narrator. In this theater, spirits return when the story continues. Sometimes they are spirits that preserve memory. And sometimes they are those whose secret demands retribution.
