Ukrainian rock hits performed by the orchestra
Ukrainian rock hits performed by Concert Mania Orchestra
There are songs that don't just sound - they stay with you. In memories, on the road, in headphones, on those evenings when you want a little more music and a little less unnecessary noise.
On July 12, we will gather in Lviv to experience just such an evening - an evening of Ukrainian symphonic rock.
This is the first concert of this format, where iconic Ukrainian rock hits from the repertoire of our favorite artists, who have become legendary for us, will be performed in a new, non-trivial performance by the Concert Mania Orchestra and vocalists Zinovy Karach and Ksenia Tsarenko - deeper, more emotional, closer.
Rock in Ukraine has always been more than music. It was born from rebellion, from pain, from love and from the desire to speak honestly, freely, in an unbridled desire for freedom. And that's why it sounds so good now that you don't just listen - you feel: it's the voice of a generation that couldn't and didn't want to remain silent.
And on this summer evening in Lviv, it will sound as openly as possible - through songs that have not only become iconic, but have formed the original character of Ukrainian rock and continue to create its unique face today.
From the first chords of "Fajne misto" and "Zvezdochka" by the Hadyukin Brothers, the audience catches the same drive - lively, ironic, real, which immediately "lifts" the audience with wild emotions and does not let go for a long time.
"Scream" by O. Torvald is full of internal tension that tears from the inside, the same internal explosion that cannot be contained, and "Bez tebe" penetrates more quietly, but deeper - right down to the ants.
"Old Photos", "Sleep by Yourself", "Sam sobi kraina" by Scriabin - not just about nostalgia for the hits of your idol, but about the moment when you sing together and you understand that these songs are a part of you.
“3 minutes”, “Not anymore”, “So little here you are” by Druha Rika sound as if it were a soundtrack to your personal stories.
And “Flowers in the hair” by Boombox touch on the same memories that do not disappear - they only quietly echo inside with warmth and a light thud.
“It can kill you” from the SKY repertoire passes through you without any embellishments - a moment when everything around seems to dissolve in the music, in words that hit exactly on target.
“You know how it hurts” and “I need it so much” by LAMA sound like a pulsating nerve like the naked truth - something that has long been inside you, but has not always had a voice, something that has long been felt, but which was difficult to admit to yourself.
“Malva” and “Night” by Zhadan are life without filters: a little rebellion and truth, a little fatigue and unbridled energy and a lot of meaning… and that very state when drive literally pulses in the blood.
Songs that you want to sing along to... Those to which you catch the moment and just live by it.
