10 років APLAY: ARNAUD REBOTINI & VOTUMA
This summer, the APLAY formation celebrates 10 years of non-stop movement, cult imports and the development of Ukrainian electronic culture. APLAY has never been fixated on one style and always remains open to something new. The first guest of the celebration is the living French legend Arnaud Rebotini, whom we are immediately taking on a Ukrainian tour.
ARNAUD REBOTINI is a composer, producer and one of the key voices of the French electronic scene. His name appeared in 1996 alongside Air, Daft Punk and Étienne de Crécy - and he has not stopped creating since then. Founder of Black Strobe Records, author of film soundtracks, including "120 beats per minute", for which he received the prestigious César award. A man whose works were heard in the trailers of Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese's film masterpieces. A musician who created official remixes for Depeche Mode, Rammstein and Mylène Farmer.
His music is a sound architecture that crosses industrial, post-punk, and techno. Together with Acid Washed, he presented the RAVE project, a conceptual saga about the past and future of rave culture. And it is this uncompromising spirit that he brings to Ukraine.
VOTUMA (Tamara Umanska) is going on tour with Arno Rebotini - a person who has been working in the electronic industry since the 90s and shared the stage with such iconic artists as UNKLE, Bonobo, GusGus, Telepopmusic, Kerala Dust, Jazzanova, Martina Topley Bird, Submotion Orchestra, DJ HELL and many others. A pod-dancer, DJ and founder of the APLAY formation, who has brought many world-class artists to Ukraine over the years.
For the 10th anniversary of APLAY, French maestro RNAUD REBOTINI, together with VOTUMA, are preparing a special musical program. It will be the perfect bridge between classic European industrial sound and progressive Ukrainian energy. The best local DJs will also definitely join the line-up.
