Odesa Ukrainian Theater named after V. S. Vasylko Odesa, st. Pastera, 15

Premiere in Odessa! July 11 on the stage of the V. Vasylko Ukrainian Theater — the tour of the Ivan Franko National Drama Theater with the play "Caligula."

A drama based on the play by Albert Camus, directed by Ivan Uryvsky, the director of the country's most popular play, "The Konotop Witch."

"Caligula" in Odessa

Caligula. This name of a real person, a Roman emperor from the Julio-Claudian dynasty, has been associated for many centuries with cruelty that knows no bounds, impunity for tyranny, and perversions that reach absurdity.

Albert Camus' play is not only a story about power, but also a profound exploration of human nature, freedom, and the limits that a person is willing to cross.

In the role of Caligula

The main role is played by BAFTA award winner Oleksandr Rudynsky.

One of the brightest Ukrainian actors of our time will embody on stage the image of a character who remains one of the most controversial symbols of absolute power today.
