The long-awaited event on the main stage of the country is the Lviv National Opera at the Ukraina Palace!

This fall, the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will embark on a major tour to Kyiv, representing contemporary Ukrainian ballet art.


Alexander Rodin's ballet "Solaris" is based on the cult novel by the world-famous science fiction writer Stanislav Lem, which conquered the world not only in literary incarnation, but also in cinematic.

The ballet “Solaris” to the music of the contemporary composer Alexander Rodin and the libretto by Vasyl Vovkun is more than fantasy. It is a journey into the depths of human consciousness, where reality collides with illusions, and reason with the incomprehensible Cosmos. The planet Solaris, enveloped in a mysterious ocean, forces the heroes to face their own fears and feelings, to search for the truth and true meanings of existence. The performance was choreographed by the choreographer-producer Kateryna Kurman. Stunning fantasy scenery and costumes are created by the talented and progressive set designer Svetlana Reinish. The palette of cosmic impressions will be complemented by the masterful light score by Alexander Mezentsev.
