Lesya Ukrainka Theater: Where the Past and the Future Meet
This theater is not just a building in the historical center of Kyiv, on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, 5. It is a place with a history that began in 1891. The theater received its current name, in honor of the outstanding Ukrainian poetess, in 1941 after the triumphant performance "The Stone Master." People come here for impressions, for deep thoughts, or simply to take a breather after a working week.
There is always a place here to suit your mood, because the theater has three stages:
Main stage (up to 750 seats): for large-scale productions that gather full halls. Here you can feel the energy of a great performance.
New stage (up to 136 seats): ideal for intimate evenings when you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere closer to the actors.
Stage under the roof (up to 65 seats): the most cozy corner for experiments and more intimate meetings.
