Olena Kravets. Solo Performance "Can I Just Sit?"
“Can I just sit?” is a solo performance by Olena Kravets for those moments when too many thoughts accumulate inside and you want to put life on pause, at least for a while. No loud slogans. No “everything will be fine” through force. Just an honest conversation about changes, losses, strength, and finding yourself.
These are the stories of five women going through crises, rethinking, and internal rebirths. Sometimes painful. Sometimes ironic. But very recognizable.
What is the one-man play "Can I Just Sit?" about?
War, which in the play is called the antonym of life, becomes not the main theme, but the background for something more important - the realization of the value of each day. Elena Kravets' heroines seem to change the optics of their view of the world and themselves.
Someone finally recognizes the truth that they have long postponed “for later”. Someone starts life from scratch. Someone learns not to lose touch with themselves. And that is why the play works not as a lecture or moralizing, but as an opportunity to recognize one’s own questions in other people’s stories.
This is a good option to switch from routine and be in a space where you don't have to pretend to be "normal." For the mood when you want to exhale, slow down a bit, and spend the evening not superficially.
Why you should add it to your plans
At the center is the lively acting work of Olena Kravets. Five different heroines, five inner paths, and many moments in which it is easy to recognize yourself or your loved ones.
Each story gradually develops into a performance that the audience often calls therapeutic. Not because they give ready-made answers, but because after such evenings, it sometimes becomes a little easier to hear yourself.
