"Taras" - a musical and poetic performance
On July 15, the Lviv National Philharmonic will host the musical and poetic performance "Taras" - a modern stage reading of Taras Shevchenko's work, combining the power of words, live music and theatrical art. This is not an ordinary poetry reading. This is an emotional journey through the works of the Great Kobzar, which still sound surprisingly relevant today, touching on the themes of freedom, human dignity, love for the native land and the inner strength of man.
The project involves famous Ukrainian actors Bohdan Beniuk, Natalia Sumska, Andriy Isayenko, Tamara Yatsenko and Oleksandr Teren. Accompanied by musical performances and theatrical scenes, they will create a special artistic space where poetry comes to life and acquires a new sound. "Taras" is a performance-experience in which classical texts become close and understandable to the modern viewer.
The project opens Shevchenko's work from a new perspective, allowing not only to hear his words, but also to experience them together with the performers. The audience can expect an evening of deep emotions, strong images, and authentic Ukrainian words that continue to inspire and unite generations.
