History of the artist's formation

Artem Loik is a Ukrainian rapper, poet, National Guardsman. The story of the future star began in quiet and cozy Poltava – a city where the tranquility of old streets and a strong cultural code are combined. Artem was born on the same day as the American rapper Eminem. As the Ukrainian artist later humorously noted, this coincidence became a kind of sign. After all, music from an early age was the focus of the boy's hobbies.

As a child, the future performer was already experimenting with words: he wrote poems, immersed himself in poetry, and searched for his own voice and style. These first texts showed attention to social themes, the ability to notice the nuances of life and convey them in the form of short but emotionally accurate lines.

After school, Artem entered the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University. It was his student years that became the first stage of public creativity. In his second year, Loik joined the university's KVK team. A little later, he assembled his own group called "Bolt". The performances of this group combined humor, rap interludes, and artistic freedom, which allowed Artem to experiment with form and presentation. At the same time, the young man participated in the "Student of the Year" competition every year, where he went from winning at the faculty level to the title of "University Student."

Artem received a diploma as a design engineer, but his true calling – the stage – had long been obvious.

Creative path

Artem Loik’s debut before a mass audience took place at the casting of the vocal show “X-Factor” in 2010. However, given the nature of the guy’s creativity, the judges advised the contestant to pay attention to a different format. And not in vain. After all, it was there – in the project “Ukraine has talent” – that Artem’s style and charisma found its listener. The rapper confidently moved from stage to stage, gaining popularity and recognition. And in the end, he became a finalist and took second place. This success opened the way for Loik to the music industry and gave him the opportunity to work on his debut release.

At the end of 2011, the first album “My View” was released. The album included compositions created for the show "Ukraine's Got Talent", as well as new tracks in which the performer continued to develop his style. In the following years, Loik actively worked on his creativity: he released the mini-album "Teeth" and the Ukrainian-language album "Behind My Window", shot video clips for the songs "Salty Childhood", "Poets" and "The Last". His releases gathered a wide audience of fans of non-trivial creativity. And live performances attracted the attention of fans of all ages.

Artem also became famous in rap battle circles, but stood out among other artists with his own approach: instead of aggression or insults, he chose complex rhymes, humor and an intelligent manner of conducting the battle. The duel between Loik and Yarmak in 2016 was indicative for the public: after the second round, Yarmak fainted due to hypoglycemia, and Loik refused to continue the battle, which emphasized his humanity and respect for his colleagues on stage.

The performer's style and creative development

Artem's style is social rap with expressive lyrics and a powerful flow. These are tracks that touch on painful topics: war, service, internal struggle, experiences, losses, but also strength, resilience and love for Ukraine. It was this honesty and emotionality that brought the rapper recognition and sincere support from fans.

The full-scale war became an impetus for change. After February 24, 2022, Artem fundamentally switched to the Ukrainian language and devoted his work to topics related to the realities in which the country lives. Today, the artist volunteers, performs for the military, and holds charity concerts. In February 2023, the Poltava Art Museum hosted a presentation of Artem Loik's collection "My War", which combined poetry, songs and photo stories. In the same year, an album of the same name was released, which collected nineteen compositions recorded with various musicians.

Social activity

Today, Artem Loik continues to develop his social networks, especially YouTube and SoundCloud. He shares new compositions, thoughts, and communicates with the audience there. Artem continues to be the artist who keeps in touch with people, speaks frankly and never plays roles that are alien to him. In August 2024, Artem joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He serves as an instructor in Kyiv. He works with the psychological training of the military and continues to create in parallel. In his interviews, the artist honestly said that he would never have written so many songs about the war if it weren't for the reality the country found itself in. But at the same time, he felt a responsibility to the audience, to the fans, to those to whom his music gives strength.
