History of the artist’s development

CKAYA – performer and songwriter, composer, music producer from Kharkiv. The artist’s real name is Maksym Marchenko. CKAYA began his creative path not on the big stage, but working “behind the scenes” of show business as a songwriter. Since 2017, he has been creating music for other performers, gradually honing his own style and waiting for the right moment to reach a wide audience.

The moment of recognition was approaching and the turning point came in the early 2020s, when the first guest verses and creative collaborations appeared, which gave impetus to a solo career. Already in 2021–2022, an active wave of releases was launched, which outlined the birth of a new name on the Ukrainian pop and alternative scene.

With the beginning of a full-scale war, the artist's life changed dramatically. Having moved to Lviv, CKAYA took to the streets with his music, turning the city into a large improvised stage.
