Yuriy Gorbunov: education and the beginning of his career
Yuriy Mykolayovych Gorbunov was born in the city of Novy Rozdil in the Lviv region, and grew up in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1992 he graduated from the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Institute of Theater Arts.
After completing his studies, he worked for almost five years at the Drama Theater in Ivano-Frankivsk. Later he moved to Kyiv and began to develop in the field of television and show business.
In 1997–1998 he worked as an assistant director at the Art-Veles center and as a director at the Hollywood club. At the same time, he began his career as a TV presenter: in 1998 he hosted the Three Dots program on UT-1, and in 1999 - the Happy Call show.

In 2000, Yuriy Gorbunov joined the New Channel and became the host of the morning show "Rise." It was for this project that he received the Teletriumph award in the Best Television Show nomination together with Masha Efrosinina.

Yuriy Gorbunov is a six-time winner of the "Teletriumph" award. In 2012, he was the Honorary Ambassador of Ukraine at the Olympic Torch Relay and became one of eight Ukrainians who carried the Olympic flame in London.
On December 1, 2015, he received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Also awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree in 2021 and the Order of Merit of the II degree in 2022.
Personal life and hobbies
Yuriy Gorbunov's first wife was Lyudmila, a ballet dancer of the Ivano-Frankivsk Theater. Together they raised their daughter Ksenia from Lyudmila's first marriage. In 2011, Gorbunov became a grandfather - Ksenia had a daughter, Polina.
In 2017, the TV presenter married Kateryna Osadchaya. The couple has two sons - Ivan, who was born on February 18, 2017, and a younger son, who was born on August 19, 2021.
Among Yuriy Gorbunov's hobbies is hunting. The artist names Ukrainian and Japanese cuisines as his favorite.
