Becoming an artist

alyona alyona (real name – Alyona Savranenko) – Ukrainian rapper, songwriter, thought leader. The future star of the music scene was born in the village of Kapitanivka in the Kirovohrad region. And when the girl turned 13, the family moved to the Kyiv region. The professions of her parents were not related to creativity. And Alyona had a part-time job in her youth that was not at all in the art industry. She was a market saleswoman, a cashier, a cleaner and even a collector.

As a child, Alyona Alyona faced bullying because of her appearance. In particular, because of her excess weight. This experience significantly affected her self-esteem and psychological state. However, instead of breaking down, the girl was looking for a way to express herself. And she found it - in music and recitative. She began writing lyrics at the age of 12, inspired by the idols of that time: Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and others. At the same time, she tried to create simple beats on the computer, gradually discovering the technical side of creativity for herself.

Despite her creative passion, Alyona received a solid education. She graduated from the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi State Pedagogical University named after Hryhoriy Skovoroda with two majors: "Psychology" and "Primary Education".

Later, she constantly expanded her range of skills: she studied English, took courses in marketing, copywriting, SEO, SMM and design. She studied the basics of photography, videography and editing. It was the relentless pursuit of development that helped the performer form her unique style and bring rap to a new level in Ukrainian culture.

Creative path

After completing her studies, Alona Alona worked as a teacher in the kindergarten "Teremok" in Baryshivka. And later she headed a preschool in the village of Dernivka in the Kyiv region. The teacher sincerely loved her job and children, but did not give up her dream of becoming a rapper. In her free time, she wrote tracks and mixed them in a studio at home.

At the beginning of her career, the artist performed under the pseudonym Alyona Al.kaida. However, she later changed her stage name to alyona alyona to emphasize her uniqueness and national identity. A new stage began in the rapper's creative life, which was the start of the path to true popularity and recognition among fans of the genre. In October 2018, the first video clip for the song "Fish" was released. The bright debut immediately attracted the attention of the media and a wide audience. The song featured themes of childhood, bullying, and belief in one's own dream.

A month later, three more clips were released - for the hits "Heads", "Open" and "I'm Leaving My House". All works collected millions of views and positive reviews. The unique style of reading, sincerity, original language and themes made the rapper a recognizable figure on the Ukrainian stage. Despite offers of cooperation from famous labels and producers, the artist remained an independent performer.

In 2019, the debut album "Pushka" was released, which included 13 tracks. Among them are duets with such famous singers and bands as Jamala, Nina Matvienko, Alina Pash, MONATIK, Kyivstoner. The album received high marks from critics and was nominated for the YUNA award. In the same year, two more mini-albums were released - "In the House of MA" and "Galyna Gulyae".

Creative development of the performer

In 2019, alyona alyona received international recognition. The authoritative American publication Vogue called the owner of bright natural charisma and creative talent the most unexpected rap star. In the summer of the same year, the performer represented Ukraine at one of the largest European music festivals Sziget in Budapest.

In December 2019, a video clip for the joint composition alyona alyona with the Kalush group was released. The video clip quickly entered the top hundred most popular Ukrainian-language music videos on YouTube (as of November 2021). At the same time, the author wrote the lyrics for the song "Vilna". The duet composition performed by Tina Karol and Yulia Sanina became the official soundtrack to the Ukrainian film "Viddana".

On February 7, 2020, it became known about a new stage in the rapper's career. Alyona Savranenko signed a contract with the Polish record company Def Jam Polska. And in the fall of the same year, she announced the launch of her own label ENKO, which, in addition to the founder, was joined by members of the Kalush group.

Participation in Eurovision

On August 26, 2022, alyona alyona, together with singer Jerry Heil, presented a joint mini-album “God willing”. The release included four collaborations with European artists:

• “The Wind Blows” with Polish rapper Gedz;
• “God willing” with Lithuanian singer Monika Liu;
• “Kupala” with ela.;
• “Zozulya” with Latvian rapper Ginger Mane.

With the presentation of the joint album, the artists gave several concerts as part of an all-Ukrainian tour.

And in November 2023, the duet alyona alyona and Jerry Heil reached the final of the National Selection for Eurovision 2024. The performers performed on the stage of the national selection on February 3, 2024 with the song Teresa & Maria. And the next day, according to the results of the vote, they became the leaders of the competition. The artists won the right to represent Ukraine in the Swedish city of Malmö. The song Teresa & Maria expanded the popularity of the artists and entered the lists of music charts.

Social activity

Today, alyona alyona is a true ambassador of Ukrainian culture in the world. The rapper is convinced: being a Ukrainian artist abroad is, first of all, being able to thank the world for supporting Ukraine. Alyona Savranenko notes that on every stage, in every interview, she first of all expresses gratitude to the countries that help Ukrainians.

Speaking to civilians abroad, the singer strives to be a guide between the front and the rear: she conveys emotions, requests, words from the military - what she calls a thin thread between the two worlds.

The rapper is also actively involved in charitable and public initiatives. For example, as part of the campaign "This is how memory works", dedicated to the fallen patriot Danylo Didik and all those who gave their lives for Ukraine, alyona alyona took part in the musical part. Among the iconic compositions are the piercing song "When they bury the young" and the joint track with the Okean Elzy band "The Land of Children", presented on Children's Day.
