“The main thing in stand-up is freedom”
According to Svyatoslav Zagaykevich, Ukrainian stand-up is distinguished by a special love of freedom. The author emphasizes that despite the presence of topics that are really not worth joking about today, humor as such is a serious support for every person. It helps to relax and stay sane. So there should definitely be no jokes about the tragedy of the Ukrainian people. In his performances, the comedian talks about the nuclear bomb, the fatigue of the dog Patron, stories from the subway. Black humor also “comes in” to the listeners.
In addition to communicating with the audience, Svyat discovered his own way to relieve tension – music. During the war, the comedian became very interested in listening to vinyl albums: this activity always gives him strength and inspiration.
