Although in the 90s the future actor still completed his military service in the German Democratic Republic.
After the army, Mostrenko returned to Tallinn. There he got a job as a locksmith. It was at this time that creativity appeared in the young man's life. Andriy began to write poetry, create music for compositions and joined the musical group Emanuel. The combination of physical labor with activity in the creative team gradually paved Andriy's way to the stage. At that time, the talented author did not yet fully realize that he had already started moving along the track of popularity.
In addition to the convenient location, an important reason for the move was the presence of a culture school in Mykolaiv. His father insisted that his son get an education. He pushed him towards an artistic path. After all, Andriy had his own band back in Tallinn. In the end, under the influence of his father, he applied to the Mykolaiv School of Culture, choosing the specialty of director of mass events.
It was at the educational institution that Andriy had an event that became decisive for his future career. The famous actor Oleksandr Kravchenko visited the school, who immediately noticed Mostrenko's bright charisma and creative potential. The artist literally took the young man by the hand and led him to the director of the Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy. So a chance meeting became the starting point for the actor, opening the door to the world of professional theater.
The decision was made just before the summer holidays. So Andriy continued his studies at the school in absentia. Already in 1993, he made his debut on the big stage. The artist worked at the Mykolaiv Academic Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy for 13 years. In parallel, Mostrenko continued his professional development: in 2002 he received higher education, graduating from the Mykolaiv branch of the Kyiv University of Culture and Arts. The actor's mentor during this period was the well-known teacher Oleg Ignatiev.
In 2007, Andriy Mostrenko joined the creative team of the Theater of Drama and Comedy on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. The artist's current repertoire is represented by roles in the following performances:

Moving to Ukraine
The turning point in Andriy Mostrenko's life was moving from Tallinn to Ukraine. This happened after his father retired. As a former military sailor, the head of the family dreamed of settling near the sea. He was originally from the village of Berezhany in the Ternopil region, so the decision to return to his native land was natural. For a new stage in his life, he chose the Mykolaiv region. Creative path
After meeting Alexander Kravchenko, Andriy Mostrenko's affairs went uphill. An artistic council was convened to make a final decision on the admission of the young actor to the theater. Mostrenko was invited to speak to specialists. At that time, Andriy was 22 years old. And, as the actor himself recalled, he was bold and courageous: he read excerpts, performed songs - confidently demonstrated his creative potential.
