Biography
Yaroslava Gres is a Ukrainian public figure, marketer, PR expert, journalist, blogger. Co-founder of the PR agency Gres Todorchuk and the public organization Ukraine WOW. Yaroslava Gres was born and raised in Kyiv in a family of journalists. Her grandfather, Ivan Grigorovich Gres, is a well-known Ukrainian journalist, two-time winner of the Golden Pen. According to Yaroslava, it was he who played a key role in her development. Ivan Grigorovich did not just invent games, but created a whole world of creativity in which his granddaughter could live. They even corresponded in fictional stories: they wrote to each other about adventures and unexpected meetings. These letters are still kept in the family archive.
The girl often transferred the game to reality. And although others were sometimes surprised by this, her grandfather always supported her granddaughter's fantasies. It was thanks to these games that the girl learned to live in a world where Tom Sawyer could be friends with Captain Blood, elephants flew on their ears, and Beethoven recovered from magic pills.
Yaroslava's mother also provided important support. She always believed in her daughter, saw in her the qualities of a leader and supported her in any endeavors.
Yaroslava received her secondary education at the Kiev gymnasium No. 117 named after Lesya Ukrainka. After school, she entered Kyiv International University, majoring in journalism.
Professional career
Yaroslava Gres began her professional career at the age of 17, working at the magazine "Ekran Tyzhnya". Already in her first year of university, she took on various jobs - she posted ads, conducted surveys, and published the institute newspaper. Later, she switched to part-time studies to have more time for practice in the media industry.
The talented girl's articles appeared in the publications "Business", "Halytski Kontrakty", MAX, Cosmopolitan, ELLE, and Vogue. Ambitious, persistent, and charismatic, Yaroslava quickly climbed the career ladder. She worked for five years at the magazine "Teleguide", working her way from a freelance journalist to editor-in-chief.
In 2007, she was appointed editor-in-chief of the Ukrainian edition of the celebrity magazine HELLO. In this position, Yaroslava implemented a series of large-scale projects, including the photo shoot "Stars Laugh", which is still considered the largest in Ukraine.
In 2010, in collaboration with her brother Oleksandr Todorchuk, Yaroslava founded the Agentstvo agency, which was engaged in cultural, artistic and show business events. Among the famous projects are the Cirque du Soleil tour in Ukraine and the first international festival of contemporary sculpture Kyiv Sculpture Project.
Civic activity
In 2014, the name of Agentstvo was changed to Gres Todorchuk PR. In addition to working in the field of culture and communications, Yaroslava began to actively engage in charity. She became the initiator of more than 30 social actions aimed at supporting educational and philanthropic missions.
In March 2021, according to the results of a survey of viewers of the TV channel "Dim", Yaroslava Gres entered the top five most prominent Ukrainian women of our time.
