Becoming an artist
Anton Senin is a Ukrainian artist in the stand-up genre. The star of modern Ukrainian comedy hails from the Luhansk region. But at the age of 9, according to the comedian, the boy firmly decided: he would move to Kyiv. Anton recalls how one autumn day he ended up in Kyiv quite by accident – as an ordinary tourist. Walking through the charming streets of the center, he went to the Golden Gates, and then to Prorizna. It was there that he was overcome by a clear inner feeling: his solo stand-up concert should take place on this street. Or even better – two at once. Thus was born a small dream, which later turned into reality.
Despite all the power and atmosphere of the capital, Anton does not believe that Kyiv has significantly changed him. Too much had already been formed earlier - acting talent, charisma. But the city did give something important: it taught independence.
Creative path
The comedian's debut in the capital took place at the Amigos Bar on Kontraktova Square. It was there that the Open Microphones were regularly held. According to the artist, the main thing that remained after that evening was a few spectators who still follow Anton's work. However, Senin did not stop there and continued to develop on the humor track, paving the way to recognition and popularity.
In November 2024, the comedian recorded his first solo stand-up called "Solo Senin". Anton gathered fans of topical and witty humor in the Comedy Room. The audience received a lot of positive emotions and confidently added the comedian to the list of their idols.
Today, the star of the humorous genre appears in the projects of the "Underground Stand-Up" and hosts the "Blah Blah Podcast" on YouTube.
Artist's style
Anton Senin builds his stand-up around a combination of irony, personal stories and sincere interaction with fans in the audience. The comedian's signature style is a subtle work with punchlines, well-aimed pauses and self-irony. The artist skillfully ridicules his own shortcomings and life failures. This not only adds to the comic effect, but also creates a sense of honesty and closeness.
Each performance features bold improvisation and a frank dialogue with the audience. Senin asks questions, reacts to lines, changes plots - and thus turns his stand-up into a lively, dynamic performance. The jokes are based on topics from everyday life. But Anton presents them from such an angle that even banal stories take on a new, witty sound.
Social activity
Throughout the entire period of the full-scale war, Anton Senin, in collaboration with other comedians, goes on tour and holds concerts in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Part of the funds from ticket sales, as well as proceeds from charity auctions, are donated to the needs of our defenders.
Interesting facts about the artist:
- Favorite locations in Kyiv are the bike track, St. Sophia Cathedral and the Golden Gate courtyard;
- He sees a typical Kyivan as tanned and smiling, although in reality he is not inclined to form certain types.
