Path to a musical career

MONATIK is a popular Ukrainian singer, songwriter, sound producer, composer, dancer. The musician was born in Volyn in the city of Lutsk. Dmitry's family was not wealthy, and the future star of the stage grew up as an ordinary boy. His father worked at a factory where he assembled aircraft engines. In addition, he manufactured foam rubber. His mother worked as a secretary in the city executive committee. Later, his parents opened their own business.

MONATIK's path to success in show business was not easy. Several castings, rehearsals, life in rented apartments - the artist experienced all the difficulties of a beginner in the capital. When you are young and ambitious, but do not yet have popularity and recognition. However, all efforts were not in vain, because in the end Dima Monatik achieved his goal. And now his songs are heard everywhere, conquering prestigious charts. Video clips receive a record number of views, and stadium live performances are no longer a dream, but a reality.

The path to success for Dmitry began when the young man caught the eye of a mini-breakdance show held in the center of Lutsk. It was then that the guy fell in love with dance and later became a successful and famous choreographer and dancer. In 2003, Dima entered the law faculty of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. But from the very beginning he understood: he would not work in his specialty. After that, numerous castings began, at which the talented young man tried to declare himself, attract attention and win the hearts of the audience. Full of hopes for success, the young artist took part in the "Star Factory-2". He failed to pass the casting, but the show's producer Natalia Mogilevskaya noticed the talented guy and offered cooperation as a ballet dancer.

Creative path

In 2009, Dmitry Monatik actively began his path to the musical Olympus. Together with Nikolay Boychenko, he created the Monatique group. The group performed in clubs. However, the desire for more pushed Dmitry to try his hand again in the show "Everybody Dance!" and make his debut in the first season of "X-Factor". Soon, Monatik began writing songs for music stars. Today, the tracks written by the young artist are in the repertoire of such performers as Svetlana Loboda, Eva Bushmina, Alina Grosu, Dima Bilan and others.

Monatik's song debut took place in the summer of 2011, when the track "TayUletayu" was released. The artist shot the video clip for the song using a mobile phone. In 2015, MONATIK's first album "Soundtrack of Today (S. S. D.)" was released. And in 2016, the second album "Sounds" was presented. The release consisted of 16 songs. In May 2017, the singer performed at the opening of the first semi-final of "Eurovision-2017" with the English-language version of his hit "Kruzhyt" (the track was called Spinning). In the fall of the same year, MONATIK became one of the judges of the popular dance show "Dancing with the Stars".

Social activity

A full-scale war caught the family of Dmitry Monatik in Barcelona, where the artist was with his wife and children. However, like many other opinion leaders, MONATIK could not stay away from the fate of his people. And since April 2022, he has been participating in the charity concerts "Good evening! We are from Ukraine", together with other artists, raising funds for humanitarian aid. In parallel, Monatik Corporation allocated millions of hryvnias to purchase medicines and other necessary things for the military, and also supported the development of the cultural sphere. Grants were allocated to young talents: musicians, artists, animators.

In April 2022, MONATIK released the rap composition "ArtОборона", dedicated to all defenders of Ukraine. This song became the symbol of the tour of the same name, which started in August. Concerts took place in different countries of the world – from Poland to Israel – and raised over 20 million hryvnias in support of our state. “ArtOborona” united 20 cities of Ukraine. Funds were raised to help children and families from de-occupied and frontline areas. The artist performed for children in the Okhmatdyt bomb shelter during the massive shelling of Ukraine. He visited wounded defenders in Lviv, supporting them with his songs and communication. Monatik also gives concerts for military personnel, border guards, hospital workers and police.

The composition has long been a symbol of Dmitry Monatik's creativity and the singer's influence on the Ukrainian and world music scene. The track retains the signature rhythm, energetic melody and recognizable style of performance that millions of listeners have fallen in love with.

Interesting facts about the artist:

• In 2019, MONATIK presented a collaboration with the famous Ukrainian jewelry designer Valeria Guzema and her brand Guzema Fine Jewelry. The exclusive collection was created specifically for the artist's all-Ukrainian tour Love It Rhythm, combining music and the sophistication of jewelry art;
• The singer has repeatedly emphasized that music is a powerful tool for healing the soul, capable of giving inspiration, strength and hope even in the most difficult times. Therefore, the artist's work is deservedly called art therapy;
