Becoming an artist
Dasha Bilotserkovets is a Ukrainian actress and artist in the stand-up genre. Dasha is originally from Zaporizhzhia. She made her debut in humor in her youth. While still in school, she began playing in the local KVK league and did not leave the stage until the league collapsed in 2013. But the desire to perform remained. So, with a group of like-minded people, the girl created the first stand-up club in Zaporizhzhia, inspired by the format of The Stand Up in Kyiv.Behind the shoulders of the owner of bright charisma is a professional acting education. Dasha Bilotserkovets graduated from Zaporizhia National University in 2012 (specialty - "Theater and Film Actor"). And later received a master's degree as a higher school teacher.
Creative path
Dasha's appearance in the comedy industry aroused keen interest among humor fans and colleagues. However, for a long time, participation in concerts was irregular. A real breakthrough came in 2020 after moving to the capital. Since then, Dasha has been actively performing at open microphones and stand-up parties and aims to become a real star of the genre.Today, Dasha Bilotserkovets feels confident on the same stage with the stars of Ukrainian stand-up. She turns creative freedom into apt and bold jokes. The comic and fans warmly welcome her, emphasizing the popularity and obvious recognition of the comedian's work. Among the projects and formats where you can see the actress and performer of her own jokes:
- Standup8×8;
- “Funny Seven”;
- “12 Standup Comedians”;
- the show “Comedy Behavioral Therapy”;
- Cooking show on the YouTube channel “Kolo Komedii”;
- the format “Discover the Floors for a Newbie” and others.
Style and creative development
Dasha loves alternative comedy and observational standup – these are the genres that allow her to convey her personal vision of the world. The artist draws inspiration from everything that surrounds her: from random conversations and people's behavior to animal gestures and absurd events around her. All this gradually settles in her creative piggy bank and eventually turns into jokes.Before a comic performance, a feeling of slight excitement is needed. That's when a special drive appears on stage. This emotional state helps to better maintain contact with the audience, even if there is not always an obvious connection. The comic has checked: when there is no excitement at all, the concert is less lively.
Dasha loves improvisation: she very often departs from a pre-prepared text and allows herself to be free in the moment. That is why she especially appreciates open microphones. For a performer of her own jokes, it is like a gym for the mind and nerves. It often happens that humor is born directly on stage, in direct contact with the fans.
The main reference point for a comic is the reaction of the audience. If they laugh, then everything is going on the right track. But even a slight smile or attentive silence can give an understanding that there is contact. Because stand-up is not only about laughter. It is about how you see the world. And sometimes it's sad, strange, or too sincere. In the future, Dasha dreams of learning to write in a way that makes you not only laugh, but also think. So that after the performance, something more remains than just a good mood.
