Becoming an artist

Dimka Nosov is a Ukrainian artist in the heat of stand-up, co-founder of the Standup UA project. Dmitry was born in Kyiv. Later he moved to Lviv. Interest in stand-up appeared while studying at the university. At that time, Nosov was fond of watching “Mamahohotala Show”. And one day he saw an announcement of a lecture with the star of the project, Roman Hryshchuk, in a student group. This was Dmitry’s first acquaintance with the humor industry. The comedian recalls: he came to the meeting in a suit, like a security guard. At the same time, the audience was dressed in everyday clothes.

Eventually, Dmitry Nosov became seriously interested in stand-up and decided to visit a live show. Later, he learned about open microphones. At first, he simply observed and did not even dream of his own popularity, recognition and attention from fans. Then he overcame fear and doubts and decided to try to go on stage himself. He performed at open microphones about twenty times. But there was no particular breakthrough.

After a year-long break in his work, Nosov met the guys from the Lviv stand-up party. Among them were Roman Shcherban, Slavik Martyniuk, Oleg Hryundik, Andriy Pilat and Vadym Kovalyk, well-known to fans of modern Ukrainian comedy. Together they decided to move to Lviv and develop the club "Vilny".

Creative path

Having gained confidence in his own abilities while communicating and living together with his comedian friends, Nosov decided to continue moving along the humor track. At the end of 2021, Dimka Nosov and Taras Yeremii founded the Standup UA channel. The artists often performed together at CULT Comedy Hall, communicated and gradually turned from colleagues into friends. Taras was already a prominent figure on TikTok and had his own audience of fans.

When Taras left CULT Comedy Club, he suggested that Dmytro try himself as an organizer of stand-up concerts. In Kyiv, Nosov held several events, demonstrating that he had not only bright charisma, but also leadership qualities. The comedian already had organizational experience and over time it significantly enriched.

In the end, Taras decided to give his first solo performances. And it was Dmytro who took up organizing the events. They decided to start with Lutsk and Ternopil. The result was stunning: instead of the expected few dozen, almost two hundred tickets were sold. For both artists, this was a real breakthrough.

Style and creative development

Today, Dmitry is often in Kyiv. He takes part in creative meetings, filming entertainment programs. In particular, the shows "Spy", "Interesting English". Nosov left the Standup UA project, noting that he and Taras had different views on creativity. Dmitry says that he simply chose his own path and is now developing as an independent comedian.

Dmitry is distinguished on stage by his sharp delivery and ability to captivate the audience with witty stories, in particular from his own travels. According to the performer of his own jokes, there are many topics for humor. You can ironize yourself, life situations, even animals. But Nosov notes that the line between wit and intolerance is very thin. Therefore, it is sometimes difficult to predict the reaction of fans.

Dmitry himself believes that humor is always a little provocative. In this case, the ability to see the unusual in the everyday comes in handy. At the same time, the artist is cautious about topics in which he does not feel competent enough. For example, he compares political jokes with a foreign language: in general, he is oriented in the topic, but feels that he cannot joke qualitatively at a decent level. Similarly, Dimka Nosov has no desire to work in the genre of "black humor". He does not feel organic in such a style.

Style and creative development

Dmytro Nosov admits that he does not like loneliness. Therefore, he likes to be surrounded by like-minded people with whom he consults when creating new material. In collaboration with his humor colleagues, the artist regularly participates in charity stand-up concerts, part of the funds from which are directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For example, in April 2025, the artist, together with his comedian colleagues, organized a performance in Lviv. Part of the funds raised were donated to support the Ukrainian military.

Nosov also organizes meetings for the needs of Ukrainian defenders. To promote charitable initiatives and attract a wider audience, the comedian uses his social networks.
