Lida Lee (real name – Lidia Oleksandrivna Skorubska) is a Ukrainian singer. The future star of the modern music scene was born and raised in Kyiv. The family has always had an atmosphere of creativity. Her mother worked as an artistic director and taught music. It was she who introduced her daughter to art and inspired her to take her first steps in the creative industry. At the same time, her father became an example of strength of character: it was the head of the family who instilled in the future artist perseverance and the habit of seeing things through to the end.
Music appeared in Lida's life very early. At the age of five, the girl began studying at a music school, where she mastered the piano. However, playing the instrument was not easy: it was difficult for the restless little Lida to concentrate. But vocals and dancing immediately became her true passion. At home, she often arranged improvised concerts, using her mother's dresses, a hair dryer instead of wind, and her own imagination. Even then, everyone saw the incredibly bright charisma of the artist. And Lida imagined herself on the big stage.
Although singing was constantly present in the performer's life, it was only after the ninth grade that Lida finally decided that she would choose vocals as a profession. She entered the Kyiv Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, majoring in "Variety Singing." In those years, the show "Star Factory" gained popularity. And many participants in the project studied at the capital's academy. Lida did not hesitate, and from that moment the artist's exciting journey into the world of music began - to recognition and success.
Creative path
Lida Lee took her first steps in her career with covers of famous songs. A cover of the composition "Sleep by Yourself" by the Skryabin group quickly gained popularity among Kuzma's fans. And the singer gained her first fans. Then came the projects "X-Factor" and "Voice of the Country", where the bright performer made a strong impression on the judges with the song Bang Bang. Lida joined the Monatic team. At that time, the artist had already been a backing vocalist for the star for some time, but decided to demonstrate her potential as an independent singer.
Meeting Dmitry Monatic was a turning point in Lida Lee's life. Their first meeting took place in 2015 at a concert in Odessa, where Lida came with friends. The girl had been following the singer's work for a long time and dreamed of meeting her idol. Thanks to her friends, she managed to get backstage and talk to Dmitry. And then Lida received a call that changed everything: Monatik himself offered creative cooperation.
A new stage began - concerts, a big stage, rapid movement along the creative track. One of the most important events was the performance at the Olimpiysky, where Lida, together with Monatik, performed their joint song "Run". It was thanks to the support of the producer that the talented artist reached a wide audience and gained real popularity. However, after a year of cooperation with Dmitry's production center, the singer decided to start her own creative path. Lida Li set off on an independent voyage.
Solo career
The song "Understand" became a landmark for Lida Li. It was with this track that a new, already solo stage in her career began. It was the singer's first independent work, the video clip for which quickly gained a million views in just a few days.
Following are new hits that quickly became recognizable throughout Ukraine, participation in the popular TV shows "Dancing with the Stars" and "Everyone Sings", as well as collaborations with other show business artists. Among the brightest is a joint song with KADNAY called MONSTER.
