Becoming an artist
Mykhailo August is a Ukrainian theater and film actor. The future star of the stage was fond of creativity and theater since childhood. And this interest determined the boy’s professional choice. Just after graduating from school, the young man without hesitation entered the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television. This was the first step on the path to his dream. Further success, popularity and recognition from a wide audience showed that Mykhailo’s choice was the right one.
Creative path
Mykhailo August has been on stage since 1987. In 1987–1992, the artist worked at the Kyiv Youth Theater, where he gained professional experience and developed his acting skills. Collaboration with directors and the creative team allowed not only to show his bright charisma, but also expanded the circle of admirers of the performer of interesting roles.
In 1993, August joined the team of the Kyiv Experimental Theater, trying himself in new creative forms. And the period from 1993 to 1998 he again devoted to work at the Kyiv Youth Theater. The artist continued to work on various roles and improve his acting.
The longest collaboration between Mikhail August and the team of the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theater turned out to be the longest. The actor has been conquering the stage of the institution since 2003. The current repertoire of the public's favorite includes the following performances and roles:

- “Love Under the Microscope”;
- “The Midfielder” and others.
One of the most famous roles that Mykhailo August played in the cinema is the doorman Jan Frantsovich in the TV series “Hotel Galicia”.
Awards and distinctions
The actor's contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture and art was recognized by the theater award "Kyiv Pectoral-1993". Mykhailo August received the award for the best performance of a supporting male role in the play "And B said..." But in fact, among the actor's works there are many roles worthy of recognition and attention from the audience and the jury of prestigious theater festivals.
