PARFENIUK is the stage name of Ilya Parfenyuk, a popular Ukrainian author and performer, influencer. The artist's hits occupy the first lines of the Apple Music, Spotify and Shazam charts. Video clips collect millions of views on YouTube. The track "I Took an Excursion" blew up TikTok. And the future star's path to success began in childhood. An early passion for music determined the main direction of Ilya's activity. At the age of four, the boy tried to play his uncle's accordion. And from the first grade he began studying at a music school in the bayan class. And although he never completed the course and did not learn the notes perfectly, he began to master other instruments on his own - he had an absolute pitch. Interestingly, Ilya's mother recalled how, as a baby, he would hum something to himself while falling asleep in his crib.

The boy got acquainted with music by what is called feeling. Sometimes he would ask his teacher to record a melody, and then he would play the motif himself. Ilya says that he was interested in studying, but he did not want to do as others said. He strove to be original and independent in his work. After school, he entered the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. He studied the profession of a theater and film actor. During his student years, he became interested in hip-hop, tried to write poetry and develop in this genre.

Creative path

PARFENIUK's debut on the big stage took place in 2022, when the artist presented the track "I Took a Tour". This was the unique case when Ilya's video clip, where the guy sings a song in a trolleybus, became a real hit and gained over 7 million views. The artist took first places in the charts, conquered the top charts of streaming platforms and won thousands of fans.

PARFENIUK released his next banger "Breaking Away" in 2023. Love and sincerity of feelings became the main theme of the single. With the new hit, the artist, whose charisma has already conquered a considerable audience, established himself as the leader of the music charts and significantly expanded the army of fans. In May, the video clip “I Took an Excursion” (“2.0”) was released. It was an upgrade of both the video and the track itself. And in the summer, a single with a bright summer vibe “Hands” was released. The song combined elements of hip-hop and 80s disco rhythms. The next track “Poryad” along with the video clip for the song PARFENIUK was presented in August 2023. Later, the artist launched the first Ukrainian TikTok series to prepare the audience for the release of “Mala”.

Of the positive moments of this experience, Parfeniuk notes that new acquaintances appeared. A team of people with whom it was possible to work further was formed.

Today, PARFENIUK dives headlong into music. The artist is looking for inspiration, new ideas within himself. The performer has no idols among the stars of the Ukrainian music industry. Although he admits that music has received a powerful impetus for development in recent years. Among his favorite genres, Parfeniuk names blues, jazz, and classical. In 2023, the track "Poryad" was awarded the "Music Platform" people's award. The song was included in the 20 iconic compositions of the year.
