Цей Київський академічний театр драми і комедії, що на Броварському проспекті, 25, розпочав свою історію у 1978 році. Майже сорок років ним керував видатний режисер Едуард Митницький. Його ідея була проста, але геніальна: максимум акторського потенціалу, вільний обмін емоціями з глядачем, сміливі погляди та осучаснення класики. Він завжди казав: «Не можна жити минулим... адже кожна епоха приносить нове». Театр і досі тримає цей курс. З січня 2023 року колектив очолює заслужена артистка України Олеся Жураківська, а головна режисерка театру — Тамара Трунова.

Тут завжди можна побачити мікс досвіду та молодості. На сцені грають як визнані майстри, так і талановиті актори, які щоразу дарують глядачам щось особливе.
