History of the band
BEZ OBMEŽENJ (until 2022 – BEZ OBMEŽENJ) is a Ukrainian rock band founded in 1999 in the city of Mukachevo, in Transcarpathia. Initially, when the musicians were just starting to create their own music, Serhiy Tanchynets played the role of drummer. Only later did a band called BEZ OBMEŽENJ appear, in which Serhiy became the leader and vocalist. The talent and charisma of the frontman remain an important part of the band's success to this day.
The band's first rehearsals were held in the classroom of the Mukachevo Institute of Technology. It was in Mukachevo that the band began its creative activity and first announced itself to the general public at a concert held on January 14, 1999. At that time, the band consisted of Serhiy Tanchynets, Igor Rybar, Vladyslav Vorobets and Serhiy Popovych.
The band's name arose during a period of creative search, when the musicians could not decide on a specific direction in rock music. The artists sought to develop different styles without setting themselves any limits. It was this idea of freedom that became the basis for the band's name.
Creative Path
The band's debut outside of Transcarpathia took place in 2002 at a concert in Lviv. In 2005, the band became a finalist at the Global Battle Of The Bands festival. WITHOUT LIMITS were presented in the category of "best new band of the Western region of Ukraine".
In 2006, the band signed a contract with a producer. This step symbolized the beginning of the band's professional career in the music industry. The following year, the band changed its name to the English version Without Limits. At the same time, the musicians presented their debut album Underground and released a video clip for the song of the same name. Already in the first days of rotation, the composition topped the "M2O" hit parade on M1. And the clip remained in the top ten most popular videos for a long time.
In 2008, changes occurred in the band's composition. Since then, the band has been performing in an almost unchanged format. In the spring of 2012, the band joined the song telethon "A Song Unites Us". The event was broadcast on the First National. The marathon lasted 110 hours. 2012 performers took part in it. The event was listed in the Guinness Book of Records and the National Register of Records of Ukraine.
In April 2015, work on the album “#DIХАЙЮТОБОЮ” was completed. The musicians prepared the material for two years. The album included ten tracks. Among them are the works “Налий мені вына”, “Зима”, “Мамыни слова”.
Participation in projects and festivals
In 2016, the group took part in the seventh season of the vocal show “X-Factor”. During the casting, the group performed the song “Без ней ника” and reached the fourth live broadcast. However, they left the project due to insufficient support from the audience. After participating in the show, the musicians organized a live show for their fans.
In June 2013, the band took part in the annual international festival "Rock Sich", which was held on Trukhaniv Island and was founded by Oleg Skrypka. The band also appeared in the program "Music for Adults with Maria Burmaka". In September of the same year, the musicians performed at the Oktoberfest in Kyiv and have been a regular part of the festival program since then. At the end of 2013, the band returned to the Ukrainian-language version of its name BEZ OBMEZHEN.
There are also episodes related to cinema in the history of the band. For example, in the fall of 2012, the short film by Mykhailo Dobosh "Dream Comes with Faith. Nocturnum 1" (Somnium Adveho Verus. Nocturnum 1) was released. The main role in the film was played by the band's frontman Serhiy Tanchynets. And guitarist Igor Rybar not only appeared in the frame, but also became the author of the musical accompaniment to the film. Thus, the musicians distinguished themselves by their cooperation with representatives of the film industry.
In the summer of 2017, BEZ OBMEZHEN expanded its popularity and gained recognition from music fans by participating in the festivals Razomfest in Lviv, Rock&Buh FEST (Khmelnytskyi), Atlas Weekend (Kyiv), "VELIKY KAZAN" (Zhytomyr region), Fayne Misto (Ternopil), "Bandershtat" (Lutsk), Home fest (Odessa) and others.
Style and development of the group
The main feature of BEZ OBMEZHEN is its ability to deeply influence listeners. The project's compositions evoke an emotional response, immersing the audience in a real element of feelings. At the concerts, a unique atmosphere reigns, full of mutual friendship between stars and fans.
The band's works can be heard on the air of numerous Ukrainian radio stations. And video clips are broadcast on the country's leading TV channels. Each performance of the band is an explosion of energy and deep emotions. The musicians give themselves without a trace, charging the hall from the first seconds and keeping the audience in a powerful emotional flow until the final chord. Today, BEZ OBMEZHENJ has the title of the most famous rock romantics and the most touring band in the country.
Social activity
Serhiy Tanchynets noted that he actively uses social networks. According to him, in the modern world, few people can do without them. Therefore, the performer not only monitors the activity of users, but also constantly interacts with subscribers. The band leader reads messages, responds to requests and tries to stay in touch as long as physical strength allows.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the band made a fundamental decision - to remove the Latin letter "Z" from the name, replacing it with the Ukrainian "Z". This step was a reaction to the fact that the Russian invaders use the symbol "Z" to mark their military equipment.
The band is also actively involved in charity, supporting important initiatives. For example, during tours of cities in Europe and the USA, the musicians raise funds to help Ukrainian military and civilians.
