Kateryna Buzhynska is a famous Ukrainian singer, People's Artist of Ukraine. The future star of Ukrainian music was born in the city of Norilsk. She moved with her family to Chernivtsi (her mother's hometown) at the age of three. Her father is a builder. It was from him that Kateryna took such qualities as hard work and determination. Recalling her childhood, the artist said that then there were no toys that are available now. One of Kateryna's biggest dreams was to have white skates. It was a real treasure. And when the girl found the dream surprise under the Christmas tree, it became the best gift she could imagine.
Kateryna was interested in many things in her youth. The singer is sure that if it weren't for creativity, she could have built a career in advertising or modeling. However, she chose music and singing, enriching Ukrainian culture with magical compositions. In fact, the girl confidently declared her desire to be a singer at the age of 3. At first, Kateryna performed under her father's surname - Yashchuk. Later, she changed it to her mother's surname.
Creative path
Kateryna Yashchuk's creative path began with cooperation with the children's ensemble "Zvinki golosy" in Chernivtsi. The singer received her first musical skills under the guidance of Maria Kogos. Later, Kateryna worked at the Chernivtsi Philharmonic, which allowed her to gain experience at a professional level. In 1994, she became a finalist of the popular television program "Morning Star". After graduating from high school in 1993, Kateryna entered the Chernivtsi Music College named after S. Vorobkevych. In 1995, she won a number of prestigious song contests, such as "Dyvohrai", "Pervotsvit", "Kolyorovi sni" and "Chervona Ruta". Bright achievements contributed to further recognition on the Ukrainian stage and the expansion of the singer's popularity.
In 1996, Kateryna Buzhynska won the first Grand Prix at the "Veselad" festival, which was a significant step in her career. In the same year, at the invitation of her producer, the artist moved to Kyiv. She entered the second year of the R. M. Glier Kyiv Institute of Music, where she studied pop vocals. In 1997, Buzhynska won the Grand Prix at the Moloda Halychyna and Kriz' Terny do Zirok festivals, as well as the first prize at the Song Vernissage. The singer's breakthrough was marked in the program Schlyager Roku, where Kateryna received an award in the nomination Discovery of the Year.
After winning the international festival Slavyansky Bazaar-98 with the song Doomed, Kateryna Buzhynska actively cooperates with poet Yuri Rybchinsky and composer Oleksandr Zlotnyk. The hits "Ice", "Romansero", "Rebellious" and video clips for them are released. Already in 1998, the singer's discographic debut takes place. The album "Music I Love" was released. The following year, Kateryna Buzhynska won the Grand Prix for her participation in the Malvy festival. Her second album, titled "Ice," was released.
In 2001, Kateryna Buzhynska announced herself and Ukraine to the international stage. The artist became the first Ukrainian at the prestigious festival in San Remo (Italy), where she presented the song "Ukraine." The artist's style and charisma conquered a large audience. After that, Kateryna Buzhynska's career remained rich and active. The star continued to release new hits in different languages. Among them are Ukrainian, English, Italian, Spanish, Bulgarian, and even Hebrew. Successful tours took place in the USA, Great Britain, Israel, Portugal, Canada, Italy, and other countries. Today, the singer's creative output consists of 9 albums and many bright compositions, which have repeatedly stayed on the high rungs of the music charts for a long time. Among them:

In April of the following year, Buzhynska received the highest award for volunteers, the Order of Unity and Freedom, and in May 2017, the Order of Berehynia of Ukraine from the international project "I am Ukraine".

The collected contributions were transferred to the purchase of drones for the aerial reconnaissance training center, as well as to support the 46th Airborne Assault Brigade and the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss", where Kateryna Buzhinska's brother serves.
