Oleg Gotsulyak is a Ukrainian theater and film actor, star of the popular television series “The First Swallows”. Oleg says that the acting profession found him. Circumstances turned out so that after graduating from school, the guy turned his attention to the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television and decided to apply for admission to a higher education institution. The attempt was successful, and Gotsulyak began mastering acting skills on the course of Honored Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Bogomazov. Oleg Gotsulyak became a certified theater and film actor in 2018.
Now Oleg Gotsulyak is part of the creative group of the Kyiv Academic Theater of Drama and Comedy on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. This institution has maintained a high reputation among viewers and critics for many years. The creativity of the theater's directors and actors conquers the juries of prestigious art festivals.
Oleg's acting debut was participation in Stanislav Zhirkov's documentary play "Class". This production is a bold theatrical fantasy on the theme of Ukrainian school, emigration, bullying, the role of teachers and social challenges. In it, the actors work with their own memories, transforming personal stories into a living and relevant stage language.
The actor's next work, which expanded the performer's popularity, was the play "HolokhvastOFF", in which a classic plot comes to life in a modern, non-standard reading. In a new stage interpretation, a familiar story acquires a fresh sound. The actor, in turn, demonstrates plasticity and the ability to organically fit into various theatrical forms.
Today, theater fans can see Oleg Gotsulyak in the following performances:
