Becoming an artist

Pavlo Tekuchev is a Ukrainian theater and film actor. The artist's hometown is Rivne. The future star fell in love with the stage and creativity in his childhood. The boy played in school productions. After receiving a secondary education in acting, he studied at the Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television named after I. Karpenko-Kary. Pavlo appreciates the experience gained at the educational institution. However, he notes that the skills and abilities acquired directly during cooperation with the creative team of the theater are the most important for an actor.

Creative path

Pavlo Tekuchev began building his own career and the path to popularity and recognition in 2017. The talent and charisma of a graduate of the theater university were manifested in his work with the team of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater in Kyiv. The actor notes that after the full-scale invasion, the institution radically changed its creative course. And this now helps to gain even greater success among fans and popularize Ukrainian culture to a world audience.

Already at the beginning of his creative path, Pavlo Tekuchev received leading roles in performances. The actor was literally overwhelmed with work. So there was no time for filming in the cinema. One of the landmark performances for the young actor was the production of "Cunning and Love" based on the work of Friedrich Schiller. Pavel was the performer of the main role and played Ferdinand. The play did not run on stage for long (about one and a half to two years). Despite this, Tekuchev considers the production one of the strongest and most significant in his practice.

1. Pavel Tekuchev admits that he does not seek fame for the sake of fame. The actor is not very active on social networks. And he calls the number of followers on Instagram modest and does not see any problem in this. Tekuchev is rarely recognized on the street. But the actor does not care. He is sure: this is not the main thing.
2. Pavlo notes that he is familiar with stories when actors woke up famous after the premiere of a film. However, he himself does not expect instant popularity. For an artist, something else is more important: to work with love for the cause, to get real pleasure from it. 3. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Pavlo Tekuchev was in Kyiv. From the first days of the war, he actively participated in volunteer activities. For almost a year, he worked in coordination with a foreign charitable foundation. Together with his wife, he repeatedly went to the east of Ukraine to provide assistance. In particular, to the village of Krasnohorivka near Maryinka in the Donetsk region.
4. Pavlo managed to establish close cooperation with the Swiss Volunteer Fund. In tandem with his friend and theater colleague Gleb Suryaga, they organized regular evacuation trips to Switzerland. The volunteers were wards of displaced people from Mariupol. On the way back, they brought humanitarian cargo. Such activities continued every month for about a year. Cooperation with the organization continues to this day. The necessary help is being provided to Ukrainians.
