Becoming an artist

Serhiy Chirkov is a Ukrainian comedian, participant in the project “Underground Stand-up”. The star of Ukrainian entertainment YouTube began his comedy career in his hometown. He was inspired, like many other beginners, by the performances of foreign artists in the comedy genre. Later, he moved to the capital, where he quickly gained popularity and recognition. In his early performances after moving to Kyiv, Serhiy joked about his childhood in a religious family. Gradually, the comedian became one of the brightest representatives in the domestic humor industry.

Creative path

The main principle that Serhiy Chirkov adheres to in his work is that jokes should be on topics that are close and familiar to the author. If the experience that the stand-up comedian talks about from the stage is not typical of him, the audience will quickly understand this. And neither charisma nor an original style will save him. Having moved to the capital, Serhiy continued to actively study stand-up culture and develop in the genre. In 2019, he won the Kyiv International Stand Up Comedy Week.

In 2022, the comedian's solo concert was included in the ranking of the 10 best stand-ups according to the Babel publication. In the spring of 2023, together with Dmitry Bilous, another resident of the Underground Stand-Up, Chirkov went to Poland. Charity performances by Ukrainian comedians took place there. Hundreds of humor fans in Krakow, Wroclaw and Warsaw came to meet the bright artists.

Today, Serhiy Chirkov notes the growing interest of producers and organizers in Ukrainian-language stand-up. Not only the audience has increased, but also the number of large-scale touring comedians. As for Serhiy, he already has several solo programs in his arsenal:

However, later he decided to focus on current events, his own life experience, and literary quotes that reflect Ukrainian culture.

Social activity

With the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Serhiy Chirkov actively participated in charitable events and events in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, in February 2022, the comedian was in France. But after learning about the events in Ukraine, he deliberately returned to his homeland.

And in 2024, it became known that the artist had joined the ranks of the Ukrainian defenders. This was reported on the “Army TV” page on Facebook. Earlier, Serhiy Chirkov, together with producer and TV presenter Yaroslava Kravchenko, participated in the training stage - overcoming the obstacle course of the 3rd separate assault brigade. After completing the training, Chirkov became part of the Ukrainian army.
