History of formation artist

Ivan NAVI is the stage name of the star of modern Ukrainian music Ivan Syarkevich. The singer is originally from Lviv. The young man grew up in the difficult Levandivka district, where a special culture of communication prevailed. Life dictated its own rules, so even in school years Ivan was engaged in boxing and even participated in regional tournaments. However, since childhood, the boy was also attracted to music. Ivan devoted five years to studying at a music school. He mastered the accordion. In the end, he realized that music is a calling that he will never betray.

After graduating from school, Ivan continued his education at the Lviv Institute of Management, where he received a diploma in marketing. During the defense of his thesis, the graduate met one of his future producers - businessman Oleg Baran. The years 2011-2015 were eventful for Ivan Syarkevich in terms of participation in various competitions and talent shows. Gradually, he delved into the show business industry, got acquainted with the rules and trends of the music world.

In 2011, the young artist took part in the project “Show No. 1” on the Inter TV channel. The singer appeared on stage as part of the “Phantoms of the Opera” team. In 2013, Ivan became a semi-finalist in the third season of “The Voice of the Country”. The singer competed under the mentorship of the leader of the VV group, Oleg Skrypka. Although he did not win the project, the performances of the talented performer with bright charisma found a response in the hearts of an audience of many thousands. The movement towards widespread popularity and recognition began.

Creative path

An important role in the artist's creative development was played by a meeting with Andriy Kuzmenko in 2015. It was Kuzma, noticing Ivan's talent during his participation in the show "Sing Like a Star", who suggested the stage name Ivan NAVI. Unfortunately, communication with the leader of the Skryabin group was short-lived due to the tragic death of Kuzma. But the support of an experienced artist became a powerful incentive for Ivan. Within a year and a half, the name of the young singer lit up on the Ukrainian music scene.

In the spring of 2016, cooperation with the MOVA Music production center began. During this period, producer Andriy Velikiy accidentally came across a demo version of the song "Taki molodi" and immediately understood its potential, foreseeing a future hit.

On June 21, artist Ivan NAVI officially made his creative debut with the song "Taki Molodi". The video clip for the song was released in parallel. Just a day after the premiere, the work entered the top three most popular music videos in Ukraine. And Ivan NAVI created a special version of the song for the NRJ Ukraine radio station. "Taki Molodi" remained at the top of the FDR and TopHit charts for more than half a year. And the performer noticeably increased the audience of loyal fans and became one of the brightest representatives of the new wave of Ukrainian music. In 2018, the debut album of the same name "Taki Molodi" was released.

Later, the singer's repertoire was replenished with singles:

The style and development of the performer

In 2023, Ivan, together with his friend and sound producer Andriy Lemishka, began to equip his own studio. It was a common dream that the musicians decided to finally bring to life. The studio became not only a creative space, but also an opportunity to have complete musical freedom. It was possible to come at any time, conductest rehearsal or quickly capture a new idea.

The year has become more active in the context of the release of new releases compared to the previous one. The events of the war and the birth of a son have significantly influenced the artist's worldview, changing his creative approach. Now Ivan's music has become deeper, while retaining unchanged notes of romance. The artist's inner state was reflected in the track "Run Through the Sky". The artist seeks to experiment with different styles and sounds and is no longer chasing awards or top spots in the charts. The main thing for the star is to create sincere and genuine songs for his fans.

Social activity

After February 24, 2022, Ivan's life changed radically. The singer's family decided to stay in Lviv. The artist, together with his brother and friends, was actively involved in volunteer activities. In those months, there were no thoughts about creating new music - against the background of news about the terrible shelling and suffering of people, it seemed that singing was simply inappropriate. However, charity concerts changed the performer's mind. Watching the smiles of children in the audience, Ivan realized: music can also be a help.

The singer is convinced: performing at charity events is good. But a true understanding of the situation comes when you find yourself closer to the front. Ivan NAVI advises all colleagues to visit eastern Ukraine and sing in front of the military. Ivan did this in October 2022. During a tour of the cities of Ukraine, he gave about 40 live performances. The team directed all the funds raised to purchase cars for the 80th brigade.

Awards and distinctions

The creatively active, talented and charismatic artist has been nominated for prestigious awards several times. Among the singer's personal victories:

1. nominations for the YUNA and Golden Firebird music awards ("Discovery of the Year", "Best Performer", "Breakthrough of the Year") in 2017, 2018 and 2019;
2. the title of "Best Performer (Male Vocal) on Radio" (2019), "Best Artist on Radio" (2020) and "Song of the Year (Male Vocal)" for the composition "When You're Not There" (2020) from Top Hit Music Awards;
3. nomination for the YUNA music award in the category "Best Electronic Hit" with the song "Cold Night".

Interesting facts about the artist:

1. in 2019, Ivan NAVI took part in the National Selection for Eurovision with the song All For The Love;
2. the shooting of the video clip for one of the best tracks "Such Youth" took place in Amsterdam, Paris and Nice;
3. from the beginning of the full-scale invasion until July 2023, no new dance tracks appeared in the singer's repertoire;
4. Ivan NAVI has an integral part of his image. This is a baseball cap;
5. in childhood, the future star of the big stage sang in the church choir and wanted to become a monk.
