History of the artist's formation

MÉLOVIN – the stage name of the Ukrainian singer, musician, producer and composer Konstantin Bocharov. The creative pseudonym MÉLOVIN was born from the merger of two important symbols for the artist: the name of the iconic British designer Alexander McQueen, who was his idol, and the mystical atmosphere of the Halloween holiday. Konstantin is originally from Odessa. The boy became interested in music from childhood thanks to his grandmother, who gave him a music box with the melody of Beethoven's "To Elise". Although his parents dreamed that his son would become a scientist, they still supported Kostya's musical preferences and sent him to a music school. However, the young man soon dropped out of school, because he was more interested in theater than the music industry. At the age of 15, Konstantin worked as an assistant administrator on the set of the television series "The Longest Day". A year later, he created the band Big House Melovin, with which he presented his stage name. Two years later, the band broke up, but the singer did not stop and continued to develop his own musical career separately from the group. In 2015, the 18-year-old entered the R. M. Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College, department of pop vocals.

Creative path

The young singer gained recognition from a wide audience and national fame during his participation in the sixth season of the show “X-factor”. Konstantin tested his skills on the project several times, but only on the fourth attempt did he succeed. The contestant performed the song “Without a Fight” by the Okean Elzy group at the casting and eventually became the winner of the project. After winning, MÉLOVIN went on a concert tour of Ukraine together with other participants of the show. At the end of 2016, the artist took part in the national selection for the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest and took third place. On November 10 of the same year, the performer made his discographic debut with the album Face to Face. The album included five English-language compositions and one song in Ukrainian. MÉLOVIN worked on the release in collaboration with Ruzhynski, Mickey Mike and Ashley Hicklin. In 2018, the artist, despite some doubts, once again took part in the national selection for Eurovision. Leadership qualities, bright talent and powerful charisma helped, and MÉLOVIN won the final of the national selection. The singer represented Ukraine at Eurovision-2018 in Portugal with the song Under The Ladder. In 2024, already in the status of a stage star, the performer again took part in the national selection, but could not repeat the success. Despite this, his musical career continued to develop, and the army of fans (Mélovinators) only grew.

During the war, MÉLOVIN helps the army and Ukrainians who suffered from the actions of the occupiers in every possible way. The singer tours Ukraine and Europe with charity concerts. The funds raised are donated to the needs of our defenders and various volunteer initiatives. In the summer of 2025, the singer was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The artist became part of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
