Oksana Bilozir is a Ukrainian artist, public and political figure. The star of Ukrainian pop music was born in the village of Smyga in the Rivne region. From an early age, she showed leadership qualities, thanks to which she had authority among her peers. She spent her childhood and school years in Yavoriv, near the Polish border. There were always nativity scenes there, which little Oksana was a little wary of. Christmas holidays in the family were quiet, in the family circle. There was always kutya on the table.The girl's first acquaintance with the world of music and creativity took place while studying at the Yavoriv Music School. Later, Bilozir mastered the profession at the Lviv Music and Pedagogical School, and later at the Lviv Conservatory. In addition to her art education, she also received a master's degree in foreign policy and diplomacy at the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Oksa Bilozir began her path to popularity and audience recognition as a student. She joined the vocal and instrumental ensemble Rytmy Karpat. Later, the group received a new name - Vatra. It was with this group in 1985 that the artist recorded her first solo album. The repertoire then consisted mainly of arrangements of folk songs and compositions written by Igor Bilozir, the singer's first husband.In 1990, Oksana Bilozir performed one of her most famous compositions - the signature song "Ukrainochka" by Gennady Tatarchenko. In the same year, she created her own ensemble "Oksana". In 1993, the album "Ukrainochka" was released in Canada. And two years later, the artist's record was also released in Ukraine. The release was called "New and Best Songs".
1994 was an important stage in her career - Oksana Bilozir received the honorary title of People's Artist of Ukraine. In 1996, she began working as a teacher at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. In parallel with her teaching activities, the artist remained devoted to music - she continued to record new compositions, release records and actively perform for her fans.
