Becoming an artist

Oleksandr Grekov is a Ukrainian actor. Oleksandr was born in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih. The alma mater of the young star of the stage is the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television. Oleksandr completed his studies in 2023 and received a master's degree in "Stage Art". Creativity attracted the young man from an early age. So the talented young man, the owner of bright natural charisma, made his debut on the big stage while still a student.

Creative path

Alexander Grekov took his first steps towards fame and recognition in 2020, when he received his first role at the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theater. The audience fell in love with the talented actor, who is able to play in performances of various genres. The light and at the same time deeply emotional style of the performer of roles conquered fans of theater art. Alexander Grekov's repertoire included diverse characters from such iconic performances as:

"Brothers". This dramatic story tells of a mother and five sons who leave their native village and settle in Milan, where they face the difficulties of life in a big city. The plot focuses on family relationships, the desire to change fate and the tension in the family caused by both personal trials and social challenges;
"Translations". This is a story about people living in times of great upheaval. The play demonstrates how changes affect the fate of individuals and society as a whole. This is a story about choice, about honor and love. And also about the line beyond which a person loses himself. The play was presented from June 20 to 24, 2023 at the National Theatre of Ireland (Abbey Theatre). The presentation of the play in Dublin took place as part of the tour of the National Academic Drama Theatre named after Lesya Ukrainka. The event attracted the attention of a wide audience and marked a closer acquaintance of two cultures;
"Prayer for Elvis" in the genre of rock ballad. This is the story of two brothers, Yura and Artem, who were united by a common dream - music. But suddenly everything changed: the elder, without saying a word to his family, joined the ranks of volunteers in the East. For the younger, this act was a blow that he could not accept. And now the dialogue of the brothers continues not in real life, but in dreams, where they try to find a way to each other...

Oleksandr Grekov actively continues to conquer the stage and the path to universal recognition and popularity. The young actor's current repertoire includes roles in the following performances of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater:
